My Story
Meet John Paul, the Lay Missionary
My name is John Jonathan Philip Ariek Paul, yes 4 names and my Surname is Paul. Many people call me John Paul or JP. I have been a full time lay missionary for 27 years. I’m Originally from Malaysia, life’s journey led me to Poland.
It’s a tale of how God placed me here, so we could together discover the beauty of Jesus. I was a banker for 11 years in Malaysia. I had my missionary training for one year in NET Australia in 1995. In 1998 I did my School Of Evangelization in Poland with the Institute for World Evangelization -ICPE mission. To date I am still with them. Who am I? I’m not a clergyman or a monk. I’m simply a lay missionary with a mission – to assist people from various communities and churches in finding Jesus. My philosophy and formation is To Know Christ and Make Him Known.
My passion is to bring the gospel of life and hope to all peoples by using creative means, like dance, drama, pantomime, sign language and many more. I love utilising all available means to convey the Gospel in a way that touches hearts and minds.
What is my ministry? Primarily, I preach Jesus in different parishes and communities. It’s not just about words or sermons; it’s about creating a space where everyone can encounter Jesus in their own lives. I believe in the universality of His message and that everyone deserves the joyful hope that Jesus offers. As Pope Francis says „Before all else, the Gospel invites us to respond to the God of love who saves us, to see God in others and to go forth from ourselves to seek the good of others”.
Why do I do this? Because I believe there’s no greater joy than encountering Jesus. It’s the purpose of my life – sharing this joy with others, helping them discover His presence in their daily lives. If you’re interested in meeting me, joining in prayer, or simply having a chat about Jesus, I accompany various groups and parishes in Poland.

For over 27 years, I’ve been actively Preaching and sharing of what Jesus did I my life in different parishes, schools, universities and communities. Creating a spaces where everyone can encounter Jesus in their own lives. My mission is to share the joy and hope that Jesus offers everyone.
Universal Message of Jesus
I have and still living out this universal message of Jesus, of love, Mercy, forgiveness for all men, women and children in all walks of life. My desire is to help people discover Jesus like I did and to find that fountain of living water and Joy that he promised, to all who seek him with all their hearts.
